This is no-doubt pleases the crowd. Our favorite cheeseburger in a casserole form. Incredibly easy to prepare and can feed the whole town! Savory, oh so cheesy, meaty, and super delicious! This Cheeseburger casserole is one heck of everything in one dish. Hearty, filling, and packed with cheeseburger ingredients that we love! This is to die for! I prefer mine with extra cheese for a gooey, melt in your mouth experience.
INGREDIENTS MIXED WITH MEAT
1 lb ground meat
1 tablespoon beef bouillon, canned
2-3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
3 teaspoons ketchup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon seasoned salt (Lawry’s)
SEPARATE LAYERS OF THE CASSEROLE
1 box macaroni and cheese
6 slice bread
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 small onion, minced
3 large pickles
How to make “Cheeseburger” Casserole
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 440 degrees.
Step 2: Put butter on 6 slices of bread and place them in an ungreased baking dish butter-side down. I use a long Pyrex dish.
Step 3: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese about a cup over the bread.
Step 4: Follow the package direction to prepare the mac ‘n’ cheese.
Step 5: Meanwhile, start to prepare the meat. Combine the meat, beef bouillon, yellow mustard, ketchup, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt in a large skillet.
Step 6: Cook the meat until almost done. If you see pieces of meat that are not cooked all the way or browned, don’t worry as it’ll cook in the oven.
Step 7: Pour in the mac ‘n’ cheese on the baking dish.
Step 8: Followed by the meat mixture.
Step 9: Sprinkle the rest of the shredded cheese over the meat mixture, then, the pickles and onions on top.
Step 10: Squeeze the ketchup in zig-zags over the casserole.
Step 11: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the meat is done and the cheese is melted.
